It is a good time of the year to prepare for the upcoming gardening season. Hayfork Cooperative will be presenting award-winning Regenerative farmers Jacob Johnson and Karla Avila of Flowerdaze Farm on Wednesday, February 19, from 7 to 9 pm at Northern Delights Coffeehouse, 7091 State Highway 3 in Hayfork. They will discuss natural farming, including an in-depth discussion on soil building techniques, getting ready for the gardening season, tips and recipes from their recently published natural farming book, and a season-long recipe guide for the beyond-organic gardener. There will also be a question and answer session, and time to share some of your helpful gardening discoveries.

Some free locally organically grown seeds of plants well adapted to this area will be available. We also have a free lending library of relevant books, which can be arranged with Judy Godair for you to take home.
