Summertime! Time for summer fun with Hayfork Cooperative on Tuesday July 15 from 7 to 9 pm at Northern Delights Coffeehouse, 7091 highway 3, Hayfork. It’s travel and concert time!
Let’s go travel together to a huge and fascinating country where the people make so much of what we use—all manner of electronic gizmos and plentiful inexpensive clothing for starters. This is China of course, a country with a very long history and many places of stunning natural and manmade beauty. Former Hayfork residents Lark and Kris Bowerman lived and worked there and Kris assembled a very professional slide show of some of what they experienced In China. Kris and Lark will show and tell about their China sojourn: some about the land and the people who produce so much of what we rely on in our daily lives on this other side of the globe.
The Bowerman’s favorite vacation spots are on the South Fork Trinity River and a favorite thing they love doing is making music. As the Kuimba band they will provide us with a concert of their own very accomplished and delightful world fusion music-of nature and spirit. Their purpose is to create and perform music that cross-links the world’s cultures and philosophies and creates respect for our home planet. And it is just plain good music.
This is a free event but any donations will be used to help with their travel experiences, All are welcome to these fun events.
